Dr. David Vierhus and Dr. Terri Brummitt are a team of general dentists in private practice. They also happen to be married. A unique advantage about working as a husband and wife team is that while they bring the same dedication and values to their practice, they also bring two sets of experiences, two sets of eyes, and sometimes two different perspectives for the ultimate benefit their patients. Most often, they work independently, but they are always able confer and collaborate if necessary to create the best possible result for those who have entrusted themselves to their professional care.

DR. VIERHUS

Locally raised, David Vierhus is proud to be the product of Carlton Elementary, Union Middle School, and Leigh High School. He graduated with Honors from San Jose State University with degrees in both Microbiology and Chemistry before heading south to the UCLA School of Dentistry. Here, he graduated at the top of his class, won awards in Children's Dentistry, and married a classmate. In 1991, he and Dr. Terri Brummitt opened a private practice in Cambrian Plaza.

Dr. Vierhus has been a member of several study clubs, has advanced training in cosmetic and implant dentistry, and is a certified Invisalign provider. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Santa Clara Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dave lives in Los Gatos in a house he built with his wife Terri, their son Philip, and two Westies, Bart and Lisa. In his free time, he loves adventure travel to hard to reach destinations, home remodeling and landscaping, playing poker, and trying to remain fit enough to keep up with his son who is a member of the Los Gatos Rowing Club.

DR. BRUMMITT

Terri Brummitt hails from Southern California. As a 7 year-old whose life was changed by orthodontics, she decided very early on a course for her life: she wanted to be a dentist. To that end, she graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene before entering the UCLA School of Dentistry. In 1988, she graduated with honors and distinctions then entered a 1 year General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Loma Linda.

20 years in practice have not dimmed Dr. Brummitt's passion for dentistry. She has been a participant in multiple study clubs including the University of Pacific's Advanced Esthetic Continuum, the Seattle Study Club, the USC Odontic Seminar, and is a certified Invisalign provider. But above all, she enjoys the day to day practice of general dentistry in an office where patients and staff make it a joy to walk in the door.

In her spare time, Terri loves to travel, entertain friends, and read. She can be found at Cambrian Bowl every Tuesday afternoon, a Sharks game during hockey season, or with Dave cheering their son Philip at a weekend regatta.
